"New Metal Floor Lamp:

In love with above floor lamp, constructed completely of metal...one of the new trends about this last market was introducing or combining metal work to furniture.  Chandeliers made out of wood and metal, with a rustic shabby chic look where among other items which caught my eye.  There were lots of washed woods, whether oaks or pine, the distressed look is strong and defined.  Mixed with matte silver and golds, its casual/elegant style is a clash of the old and the new!

"Decorating For The Holidays"...

Love decorating for the holidays...from chair covers to small topiary, it's all fun and simple to do.  This red, white and black happens to be cute and very shabby.  Colors can definitely change according to our taste and style.  Think of the same set up but in pink and lime OR spa blue and brown...what matters is the continuity of tones.

Would love to be sitting by the dock...with a beautiful mountain view and the breeze sound of a lake...instead, I am ordering toys on line for my niece and newphews...

What a different it makes adding a layer of fringe or trim to a pillow or even a piece of furniture.  Combining the right textiles, patterns and colors is also important, as well as scale.  Don't be afraid to mix them and start from large to the smallest ones in front!
