"Pillow Talk"...
Love this idea because it's different and it looks good...photo pillows. A simple heavy duty canvas {Cream} is essential. Need transfer paper and the photo. Image may have to be blown up a bit but that's up to us to decide. This project is easy and can be completed on a weekend!

"Pillow Talk"...envelopes
How fast the days are moving...it's Friday again. The term envelope pillow is quite old, reminds me of the 80's when these were sort of introduced in pastel colors. Now days, they can look as cute and tailored than ever in beautiful fabric prints. The icing on the cake when making these pillows is the button that seals the envelope. It must be larger and within the scale of the pillow. The fabric or materials for pillows can also be mixed. You can have a solid body and the envelope flap be a print. Let the imagination run!

"Pillow Talk"...
First Pillow Talk Friday...I wanted to look for something unique and this doily pillow looks expensive when in reality is home made. The trick is to find an antique and interesting piece and simply glue to face of fabric with non toxic glue. Sew up all ends, leaving a narrow opening at bottom of pillow. Insert filler and hand saw bottom and voila! So, a new look for a shabby chic to a classic one.

"Pillow Talk"...holiday
In love with this elegant Christmas wreath pillow. The amount of work on the hand stitching and materials is incredible. The fabric is 100 % Cotton with a small baby self welt, but the additional decorations is what pops out!

"Pillow Talk"...burlap
My fascination for textiles is very complex...I adore utilizing fabrics which someone normally wouldn't use. These burlap pillows are constructed of a natural burlap fiber but very soft to the touch. The stamped monogramming and the meaning is just beautiful, as well as the shape!

"Pillow Talk"...
A Simple quilted holiday berries pillow is all you need to decorate and a tree! This type of quilting is very intricate and at the same time elegant. It makes the pillow softer and gives body, plus since fabric has so many layers, it's more durable. Pillow would look stunning against a slip covered sofa!

"Pillow Talk"...buttons
These custom made Linen pillows are so cute. The idea is to hand sew each mother of pearl button and extend the threat from one button to the other, creating a basket weave pattern. The color scheme can be change as well as the materials...

"Pillow Talk"...message
Every Friday {whenever possible}, I like to write a little segment about pillows and how to utilize fabrics and other textiles in a new way. I also enjoy seeing how creative we can be by playing with colors and styles. These cute pillows, I love because they send a message. They are constructed of an elegant soft silk and the focal point obviously is the monogram silk ribbon w/message.

"Pillow Talk"...plaids and stripes
Plaids and Stripes can be combined with eachother as long as the color palete is the same. These pillows by Tiveron are a perfect example. The gorgeous large patterns, mixed with the wide stripes looks rich and casual at the same time.

"Pillow Talk"...animals
LOVING this cute animal pillows...the trick is to select the specific pattern for the proper design idea. The fabric with the circles or bubbles is perfect for the fish. Notice the eyes and how it's finished with a button. Each piece after being cut is put through a Serger machine in order to get a very clean embroidery finished at the edges. These pillows are adorable for child's nursery!

"Pillow Talk"...for outdoors
Being a bit under the weather is not good @ all, especially in this time of the year. Anyways, pretty textiles with large bold prints look so elegant, why not used them outside. This navy and white octopus outdoor sumbrella fabric called my attention. Love the white pipping too!

"Pillow Talk"...wisdom
Creativity is an art, a way of expressing what on our minds, through so many mediums. Every Friday, I blog about pillows because it's another way of using textiles. Another way of shaping fabric based upon the repeat, or the theme. Loving this one, called wisdom...

"Pillow Talk"...for mothers day
Wishing all the mothers of the world a peaceful and happy Mothers Day weekend!
Simplicity and the look of hand made is an art that is very valuable. Loving this white pillows so much...the one with roses is my favorite. They will look fantastic in a shabby style room, surrounded by lots of antique pine furniture. Or, it looks wonderful with modern furnishings too...see image from West Elm!

"Pillow Talk"...daisy pillow
Loving this Thomas Paul Daisy pillow...so perfect to decorate around it. A pillow like this one, inspires me to decorate a room around it. It's shape and design is pushed to the side, leaving a blank canvas to appreciate the beauty of the cotton textile. The finger welt is very elegant and simple at the same time. Perfect pillow for the so waited spring time.
TGIF to all...
