"Lime Green and Black"...mix it up

Love the mix of styles but also the mix of Lime Green and Black...These colors make such an impact when it comes to decorating a room.  If you are in the process of re decorating a master suite or even a guest room and want to make an impression, look for an old antique rococo style bed.  Paint bed in black and follow the simple steps...coordinate.

Search for white bed sheets with some kind of embroidery in lime green.  Finish up bed by monogramming a pillow and place it in the center of bed.  A lime green throw will do the final touch.  Accessories such as lamps and chandeliers are a must.

See image of a modern drum shade, why not mix antiquities with ultra modern, its a statement.  The focal point of the room is definitely the black and white Paisley wallpaper.  Don't have to do the entire room, but may be the back wall where bed is positioned.

Enjoy your new master suite and if any questions about where to get items, just click on comment and ask!

"Red, White and Blue"...

It's nice be back after a few sick and painful days.

Red, white and blue is not just for flags...but for a beautiful and simple kitchen.  The colors are soft but bold, making a statement with the contrasting counter tops and white appliances.  It's so nice when a kitchen is used daily.  Having pots with herbs close by makes it seem so organic.  A kitchen with a purpose in which good home meals are prepare every day...well may be!

"European Flair"...

Creating an European flair room requires a skilled eye.  Using large pieces of white wash pine armoire, comfortable upholstered chairs and sofa.  Love the idea of bringing in gardens pieces, like an old bench.  Also, using old architectural items such as old glass windows can add drama to the room.  I concentrate in a color palette and that would be white background accented with pastel colors in order to show off the accessories.

Happy Tuesday!

"Pillow Talk"...zig zag

Have you notice lately how this geometric shapes are popping up in fabric textiles, rugs, etc.  This classic zig zag look is bold and very elegant.  Navy against a white background is the perfect combination in a room that is modern or even traditional.

This ceramic tall vase is another adorable example of zig zag pattern!

"kitchen Ideas"...

A well design kitchen is a dream come true.  The "no space wasted" Fraze is a for sure a very appropriate comment for this kitchen corner.  I find it different and innovative.  This kitchen has the same wood color and hardware as my little gallery kitchen.

"Sea grass"...

One of the things I love about Sea grass is the flexibility and beauty of its texture.  Sea grass can be shaped into anything.  The lucky people to have the knowledge and the art of working this organic grass, I consider them a true artist.  First image, a beautiful king size bed, 2nd image is one of my favorites and an item I use a lot in design here in Florida, a sisal rug with a cute custom border.  Last, a gorgeous urn.  This last one is just stunning!

Happy Monday!

"Pots and Plates"...

My style has always being very eclectic, so if I am designing a modern space; I may throw one of this Moroccan Plates or Vases into the design.  I will pull solid colors and unusual minimalistic textiles and large scale furnishings.  Just love the strong turquoise mixed with the greens.  May be I will pull out my Moroccan accessories and re-do the fireplace Moroccan Style...

My favorite thing to decorate is a starfish.  I can bunch them all into a tray, or I can display one laying gracefully on top of a book.   Using natures own creations is such an elegant, yet relax Beach look...love it!
