"That Old Armoire"...

That old armoire can be transformed into an open bar...Yeah!   On a recent visit to a local consignment store, I found so many armoires of many different sizes and finishes.  Converting them into a cool wine station, like the one on this image is easy.  You may need to purchase some bar related items, like the metal glass holder but the rest should be a piece of cake!

"A Plain Vase"...

A plain vase can be dressed up with a eyelid fabric and it will totally transform the look from plain to a beautiful antique look.  Now I am ready to set up the table!

"Red and Yellow Toile"...in the kitchen

Old kitchens have a charm very hard to resist.  From the old fashion hardware, to the updated counter tops its about using the styles we like the most.  Toile makes a room cozy and romantic.  Image, shows a kitchen in which red and yellow toile is used as a back splash.  A gathered cafe rod style is used in the black cabinet.  Just a lovely place to cook and hang around!

Happy Monday!

"Pillow Talk"...for outdoors

Being a bit under the weather is not good @ all, especially in this time of the year.  Anyways, pretty textiles with large bold prints look so elegant, why not used them outside.  This navy and white octopus outdoor sumbrella fabric called my attention.  Love the white pipping too!

"Pillow Talk"...father's day

We have to think of everything...
Fridays is a day, I usually dedicate not to lampshades but to another medium...pillows.  I've always look for way of utilizing textiles, leftover fabrics, you name it in a positive-fun way.  Love this pillow for Father's Day.  It's perfect and it holds the treasures any Dad owns!

"Serenity in a Room"...

Serenity in a room starts with a light color palette that is light and creamy...just like in this image of a guest room.  The combination of the yellows tones gives the impression of a romantic space.  Some additional pieces were attached to head board, like the tufted boards.  Instead of a table lamp, dare to hang a small chandelier light.  Layer the pillows on the bed by size and by the type of textile, it will look very chic and elegant.  Fresh flowers are always such a nice touch!
enjoy the company...

"Armless Chair"...

Want to dedicate a corner of your room just for you...make a statement with a slip on chair or armless chair like this one.  Comfortable and trendy, its easy enough to go into any home style.  Next to chair is an antique water bottle.  This bottles are hard to find, especially this size.  It makes a great statement!

Happy Tuesday!

"Pillow Talk"...wisdom

Creativity is an art, a way of expressing what on our minds, through so many mediums.  Every Friday, I blog about pillows because it's another way of using textiles.  Another way of shaping fabric based upon the repeat, or the theme.  Loving this one, called wisdom...

"Found The Perfect TV Unit"...

Found this traditional hand painted oriental TV unit for a client and I was so relieve!  Most TV and Entertainments units lately are very modern or too low, you name it.  Through my search, I ended up finding this 64 inch unit with plenty of compartments to accommodate electronics and a large television.  There will be also room to display some accessories, books and may be some personal items.  I will be using gold chenille upholstery fabric for sofa and chairs, accented by a rusty rose and celadon green floral.  A very traditional room indeed but I am using modern style frames.  Work in progress, will update with images later on.

"To Sit or Not To Sit"...stools

Just adore these stools with its boxy shape and the beautiful oriental flair.  These gardens stools are always in fashion but lately I see them quite often.  Here in Florida, we can use them outside with no problems.  It's coating keeps itself very well with the strong sun.  Gardens stools also look great inside, next to a comfy chair because it barely takes room.  So, you may sit down or not.

"Enjoy The Weather"...traditional style

Such a cozy space in any front, side, or back yard...It's so funny how the classical black metal mesh style patio furniture is still in fashion.  Shop around and you may pick up a nice set, similar to this one @ Target.
It's all in the arrangement and placement of flowers, topiary and garden sculptures.  Gardens are just like the inside of a home, its done in layers...

Have a nice Tuesday!

"Loving Global Views"...

One company in the US furniture market that impresses me the most with their visuals and merchandising is Global Views.  Their team of designers have exquisite taste for colors and trends and also scale.  Visiting their showroom is like visiting another planet {sort of}...it's out of this world---Bravo!

Happy Monday!

"Pillow Talk"...sail boats

Love the crisp colors of these fabric patters and its theme.  I always try to change the rooms a bit nautical in the summer time.  I mix patterns and styles with corals or any other sea inspired collection.  I also added a cute lampshade to go with these!  Soon on Etsy!

"The Strong Color"...magenta

It's funny how colors come and go, Magenta is sort of a hot pink mixed with purple.  The color magenta is timeless and is the hottest tone in the market.   From an accent wall painted in magenta, to a rich modern coverlet or duvet, the feel of this color is rich and important.  Don't have to go all the way, but display some items here and there!
