Wishing to remodel your deck...this image inspires me a lot.  The clunky-clean line chairs are perfect and very sturdy.  Color, scale and wood tones are just beautiful...

"Pillow Talk"...arasbesque

Pillows come in all shapes and sizes...this octagonal pillow is elegant and totally different.  The pattern on the textile fits exactly the shape of the Arasbesque repeat.  Finished or dressed by a simple coordinating tiny silk rope cording or welt.  Just perfect to throw on top of a bed!

"What I Want"...

I visited some model homes yesterday @ a new development called "Rialto", in Jupiter Florida.  Lots of Models, from 2700 sq. ft to over 5000.   One of the models had an area by the pool with a similar look as this image.  I completely fell in love with it, and said to my self, that's what I want in my back yard. Model homes were in a modest and smaller scale, when we compare to a few years ago, when builders were concentrating in designing very large scale homes.

"Going Hunting"...espacio ingles tradicional

Ok, so we have heard about men wanting to get their own room in the house.  Their "Man Cave" room may be equip with a large screen TV and a Bar.  Or, it might be like the one on this image.  A very outstanding and elegant hunting lodge style space.  Here, a traditional English design is essential, from the fabrics to the antiques on display.  It's so nice and cozy, perfect after a rigorous hunt...kick back, play some backgammon and don't forget to smoke a cigar!

"Tray Ceilings"...

Tray ceilings are wonderful because they add a different dimension to a room.  I often meet with clients, who are devastated because they don't know what to do with a tray ceiling.  Nothing, would be my answer.  Just by following the original lines and designing around it with style and scale is the trick.

"Rope Style Seat Covers"...

Love the idea of these rope style seat covers, they are so simple and elegant at the same time.  The tones remind me of the brown eggs shown in image, {very organic}.  What a pretty color tone to start a project!

Friday again...the weeks are going by so quickly!  I love to introduce fun and conversational pillow ideas every Friday on this segment.  This pillow is just to die for.  Love the way the heavy cotton textile looks, and the theme is perfect for those of us who loves animals.

"New Lighting"...turquoise

Lighting is an essential part of design, as we all know.  I absolutely fell in love with this new glass chandelier because of the simplicity, elegance, but mostly the color!

"Aqua, Turquoise, Spa Blue"...in a space

I am sure we all love this new color...aqua, turquoise, spa blue in any space.  It's variations of tones, is what attractive.  Indeed a color that translate into calm and zen.  This color pops out with dark furniture, as in image.  the art work is no other then scrap booking papers, framed to fit a 15x 15 sheet.  Great idea for a new project!

Blog is a bit late due to tech difficulties...anyway, when short on fabric I like to mix textiles and we may come up with a beautiful custom made rolled pillow or bolster.



"A Plate Collection"...

Wow...if I would own so many plates, this is how I would display them.  Each one plate must have a story behind it, which makes a great conversational wall.   Why not!

"My favorite Things"...this summer

My favorite things for this summer, will be the color black and white.  It's refreshing and elegant from morning to evening.  These are some of the items on my list...except the shoes, can't wear for a while but I can admire them.

"White and Red"...and a basinett

A long time ago, I got the chance to work for a company who specialized in high end baby bedding.  The image of this beautiful basinett, reminds me of the style and luxury we had back then.  Mixing white furnishings and textiles is always the best way to deliver a refreshing and elegant design.  Decorations and details are also important.  Furnishings do not have to match, in fact, using mismatch pieces is ideal.  Painting them the same color is the key element.  A wallpaper strickingly beautiful and bold like the one on the image is necessary to make a statement...it's just beautiful!!!

Absolutely love this exterior space, so beautifully decorated.  The color red is the based palette, which unites all of the different furnishings and accessories.  A perfect environment to throw a party...

"Pillow Talk"...for mothers day

Wishing all the mothers of the world a peaceful and happy Mothers Day weekend!

Simplicity and the look of hand made is an art that is very valuable.  Loving this white pillows so much...the one with roses is my favorite.  They will look fantastic in a shabby style room, surrounded by lots of antique pine furniture.  Or, it looks wonderful with modern furnishings too...see image from West Elm!

"Beautiful Outdoors"...

I just love everything about this table setting.  From top to bottom, all the items have been placed with such grace and sense of style.  The color palette is a Cosmo Martini Pink {love it} and is accented by apple green and a stronger magenta on the floral plates.  The lidded ginger jars remind me of Lenox chinaware .  Indeed a very eclectic and beautiful space to entertaint.

May be this is a good idea for Mother Day!

"A Gift For Mothers Day"..

My mom is such a happy person.  She is so special and I treasure her with love, simplicity and joy.  She's very simple to please.  She's one of those persons who love everything.  So, I found this cute little gift box and I am still searching for the contents...Love the red toile pattern and mixed with black is so pretty-pretty!

"A Linen Tablecloth"...

Can be adorned with all kinds of shapes and colored silk flowers pins.  I love using linen fabrics a lot, especially in the spring and summer time.  Linen may come in many thickness or several threats per inch count too.  I know, it's a textile very hard to keep neat because it creases a lot.  Unfortunately, that the beauty of it...
