"My Favorite"...furniture

My favorite furniture at the moment is this cute chest. I adore the lines of the legs and of course all the glass work and inlaid. It can be used as nightstands or just as an accent piece in any home.
Happy Wednesday!

"Displaying Artwork"...

Displaying artwork is not difficult. It's a process that requires a theme or a piece that would be the focal point...from there on its easy. Above, old sketches of European cities are framed the same way but with different color matting's. Focal point is the star mirror and the green paint in the background makes artwork stand out even more!

"Outdoor Elegance"...colored

Outdoor elegance can be defined in many styles...most of the time I love to see colors not only indoors but outside too. Above image is an outdoor Portiere featuring textiles and trims by one of my favorite manufacturer, Scalamandre. The little rounded foot stools are perfect for the space and easy to move around. Not to mentioned you won't miss the view. The fabric is depicting a turtle with young ones, so cute!
Enjoy!

"A Different Look"...

I couldn't help myself from sharing this image because it can be replicated in so many ways. The first thing to do is not to get rid of an old piece of furniture. We can recycle just about anything. Attached image is a good example of an old armoire, with a fresh coat of paint and the lemons can be out of wallpaper or an image from a book. With a little imagination and patient, you can give an armoire a different look...
Have a sunny Wednesday!

"Decorating With Silver Tones"...

Sometimes between work and a busy family life it is hard to keep a house looking pretty and organized. Lots of time I leave accessories from say for example, the holidays. I just spruce up here and there...a bit of fresh flowers, some fresh potpourri, a little shell and voila. Ready for Spring or Summer...
Enjoy The Day!

"Pillow Talk"...belts

OK, so you have some pillows and they need a face lift. Just use belts!!! I think is a shabby and refreshing look. These belts are relatively very inexpensive and won't break your budget. I would only try this idea if your room style is very chic...

Have a great Friday!

"Shabby-Nautical"...

Just for fun...a shabby way of decorating when using nautical accessories, such as the real starfish and corals. One idea I like; is to use books with large prints of sea creatures and turn them into
art work. It's all about being creative and have fun with a project.
See ya!

"Decorating Morrocan Style"...

I've always been fascinated with Morroco! The closest I have been was Gibralta, but it's not the same...So if I had the chance to decorate a room Morrocan Style, these are some of the key items I would look for!

a. Beautiful Lanterns in a variation of colors.
b. Lots of potteries, from large plates to intricate Lidded Jars with silver appliques.
c. Pillows, Pillows, Pillows...
d. How about a Mural, depicting a view of the desert.

Have a great Monday...

"A Back Splash"...

What a charming and simple idea to spruce up your kitchen without breaking the budget. A new back splash with an inexpensive wood paneling, accented by a white decorative tile will definitely give a kitchen a new look!
Happy middle of the week...

"Textiles"...indigo blue

The world of textile is a constant development of color, style and fashion. One of the tones for this year is Indigo Blue. Mixed with reds, yellows and whites, I am sure it would be an elegant style to follow...

"Outdoor Benches"...

With Spring almost around the corner, it's time to think about how to refresh the Patio Furniture. I love the clean classic lines of these two and three sitters. Benches are wonderful because they simply do not take a lot of space. You can do a seat cushion and some pillows and change the look during the seasons...
Whether a Bench is in aluminum metal, cast iron or simple the durable and beautiful teak wood; they sure will make an impression. Dedicate a space in your back or front yard, may be your porch.
Make it Pretty and inviting!

"New Collection"...drum lamp shades

This is a new Modern introduction of Lamp Shades for Dress My Shade. I had a few requests, asking me if I would design a more contemporary style of shade. This set of drum shades are for a chandelier. The sizes are top and bottom 5 inches and height 4 inches. The textile is a 100% raw silk in a vibrant rusty orange mixed with gold and yellow. All of these shades may be custom to your ideal size!
Have an awesome day...

"Give Carrara A Chance"...

Carrara Marble is Timeless. It's been used for so many years, lots of us got tired of it. We thought of it as old fashion!
I take all my words back... Lately, we have seen this great marble displayed from a modern to a traditional design style. A good example is this attached image of a casual but very elegant modern-cottage bathroom. I love how clean and shiny the grey veins are; its telling me a story...
This marble looks sharp when mixed with soft pastel colors!
Have a marble-lous Day...

"In The Pink Mood"...

I am in the pink mood this year! It mostly because wallpaper designers are re-drawing old patterns with a new twist...Loving this very large Eco-Chic-tropical wallpaper because of its dominant color "Pink". I would use it on an accent wall or a guest room, may be even in a powder room.

Great Monday to u all...
